When I started this blog I wanted to document my efforts to pick up Python. After two years, I know just as much about Python as before: none. I really just never found the need for a project and I also realized that my time would be better spent honing my PHP skills. I’ve worked with two frameworks, Symfony and Zend Framework, over the past year and a half on various projects. I learned Symfony first, but we use Zend at work, so that’s what I’ll probably go to for the most part. There are still a few things I miss about Symfony such as scaffolding and the awesome generators, but version 2 (not complete at the time of this writing) looks completely foreign and I don’t see myself learning the changes. I do like Zend’s approach to maintenance.
Having said that, I will still rarely update this blog. My other website hasn’t seen a post from me in over a year as well. I’m not much of an author these days. Still, this page needed an update.
